Mobile to 08 app for iPhone and iPad

We have taken away the inconvenience and the expense of calling 08 numbers by developing an App brimming with cutting edge technology designed to help you SPEND LESS and SAVE MORE.

Building on the success and the technology already in place on the ‘Mobile to 0800’ App, there is now the added option of a Prepay Account for making lower cost calls to 084 and 087 numbers. You can save quite a bit of money using this App!

The Prepay Account allows you to add money to the App using iTunes In App Purchases where call charges are taken for calling 084 and 087 numbers. 080 and 0500 numbers do not use the Prepay Account.

The ‘Mobile to 08’ App will always show you your Prepay Account balance allowing you to top up when you need to.

After your Prepay Account has funds added to it, there are 2 parts to the call process. Firstly, we offer you lower call charges over our network. This is where the Prepay Account funds get used for the bulk of the call charge.

We then route the call across an 01/02 number to the 08’s destination, the charge for which is included and taken from within your operators bundled minutes.

This process is seamless, quick and is considerably cheaper dialling 084 and 087 numbers with the ‘Mobile to 08’ App.

When you want to make a call to an 080 or 0500 number, the App will find an alternative 01 or 02 number for you to call instead. These calls are included in your monthly allowance or, in the case of PAYG users, will be charged at normal 01/02 rates. You do not need the Prepay Account nor will money be required to make calls to freephone numbers.

Before you make a call to an 084 or 087 number you will be advised of the average charge you would normally pay and the charge that will come out of your Prepay Account. You can them choose to make the call.

Once the call has ended, your Prepay Account will be debited where you will be shown how much that call cost and your remaining balance.

When your Prepay Account is running low, you will hear a series of beeps in-call every 5 seconds to warn you of call interruption. You will have 30 seconds at the first set of beeps to end the call so you can add more credit. Always check you have enough call credit before making the call to avoid call interruption.

There is currently no other way to make cheaper successful calls to 08 numbers from your mobile.
